Natural Power can offer to take sharing of spatial data to the next level with a secure webmap that is accessible to authorised individuals, allowing consistent and fast dissemination of spatial information to the whole project team. A project webmap is particularly beneficial during early stages of Environmental Assessments, to be used during processes such as constraints analysis and finalisation of site design. However, this tool can be further used throughout the assessment by project team members aiding their analysis and reporting.
The benefits of a project team webmap are:
Accessibility – the project team have access to the same spatial data at the same time, removing the admin burden associated with sharing files. The usability of the webmap will provide a step up from accessing information via static PDFs.
Enhanced data interrogation – The webmap will allow increased functionality beyond just viewing data, including basic data interrogation (measuring, searches, proximity analysis). This will give team members increased functionality to interrogate data with limited user training.
Consistency and transparency – Everyone will have access to the same data allowing quick dissemination of project changes during the assessment.
Time saving – Reduced burden on generating static PDFs as transparency of data at early stages will enable production of figures for report chapters to be a more streamlined process across the whole project team.
Integration – The web map will be the first step of a full digital service, and this can be integrated into further digital services listed below.
Example of a web map can be seen here or in the preview below. Additional layers and features can be added upon request.
